About Us
The Fleur de Lisbrary is part of a worldwide network of lending libraries known as Little Free Libraries.
We hope to promote literacy and the
love of reading as well as build
a sense of community as knowledge, resources, creativity and kindness is shared across generations in our local community of Greenwell Springs, LA.
what is a
Community Library
& how does it work?
A Little Free Library is a free book-sharing box where anyone may take a book or share a book. They function on the honor system. You do not need to share a book in order to take one but we do ask that you check out only THREE books at a time to insure that this community resource can be enjoyed by all.
Free Little Libraries that have been issued a Charter Number have a primary caretaker, called a Steward. The steward is usually the person who put up the library. They may also take care of basic maintenance like keeping the library clean and inviting, but it is up to everyone who uses the library to keep it stocked with good books.

The Be Kind. Always. Blessing box is stocked with pantry items and other necessities and is intended to help our neighbors make it through a tight week here and there. It is only a small cabinet so while we can not provide a large quantity of items, we will try to make sure it is fully stocked at all times.
